He is forced to make amends, however, when he meets the son he abandoned decades earlier. The film received Oscar nominations for Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay.
Richard Russo, author of the novel Nobody's Fool (1993) will read from and discuss his work on Wednesday, September 25 at 8 P.M. in Page Hall, 135 Western Avenue on the UAlbany downtown campus. Russo received the 2002 Pulitzer Prize for his latest novel, Empire Falls.
