ONEGIN, adapted from the verse novel by Aleksander Pushkin, is a period piece set in mid-19th century Russia. It focuses on the tragic, ironic love affair between the title character and a young woman named Tatiana. The film is a Fiennes family affair--Martha Fiennes makes her big-screen directorial debut, her brother Ralph plays the leading role, and her brother Magnus provides the musical score.
