This elaborate version of the lengend of Robin Hood features some of Hollywood's most celebrated sets, including a full-size castle, one of the largest sets ever built. It was the perfect background for Fairbanks's swashbuckling stunts. The film received the Photoplay 1992 Medal of Honor, one of the most prestigious screen awards before the advent of the Academy Awards.
