Class of 1965 40th Reunion

If you were at the WT for our 40th reunion, you must have had a good time, because you talked, ate, and drank for hours. We reminisced about the Cave, anti-war sentiment, old professors, and even older dormitories. Together we shared memories about college classes, residences, and hangouts. At the same time we talked about our new endeavors, active retirement, and places we've traveled. If you weren't there, we hope to see you at future get-togethers. Stay well and active – our 45th and 50th are right around the corner!

At the reunion, we announced that over $1,300 contributed to the Reunion Class Project by members of the Class of 1965 will be used for renovations to the Downtown Campus. Our old campus – wedged among Washington Avenue, Western Avenue, Milne, and Robin Street – has been transformed into homes for the University's four highest-ranked, nationally recognized schools and colleges – Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, School of Social Welfare, School of Information Science and Policy, and School of Criminal Justice – in addition to housing the Dewey Graduate Library. The University is investing millions in state funds to rehabilitate portions of the downtown campus buildings, but private funds are also needed – State projects are limited in scope and will not provide the full range of funds the downtown campus needs to preserve its historical character, act as a neighborhood improvement generator, and provide the schools located downtown with truly competitive facilities.
