SCOPE:
These CIA papers include memos, cables, special reports, weekly summary reports, and biographic reports on a wide variety of social, political, and economic situations and influential people in Africa from 1946-1976. The overwhelming majority of the documents are from the 1960's and reflect political tensions in Africa at that time, as well as their international implications. Some reports are stamped "Sanitized," and thus have a few parts blocked out.
