SCOPE:
Reproduces "important fifteenth and sixteenth century printed books in all fields" published in the German speaking countries. The collection is an important source for the history of printing, the development of Germany, and the Reformation. Approximately half of the set is from the British Museum's collection described in its Short-Title Catalogue of Books Printed in the German-Speaking Countries from 1455 to 1600. Other works reproduced are from the Bodleian Library, the Vatican Library, the Bayerische Staatsbibliothek, and other libraries.

There is no author or title index. Authors and titles are listed on boxes.
