SCOPE:
The four series of material selected for Part 1 of this edition of Records of the Women's Bureau of the Department of Labor, summarize the work of the Bureau from the time of its predecessor, the Women in Industry Service, to the mid 1960's.
The four series are:
Monthly Reports of the Director of the Women's Bureau, 1918-1948.
Annual Summaries, 1922-1932.
Conferences of the Women's Bureau, 1918-1965. Speeches (1918-1958) and Articles (1918-1947) of Women's Bureau Officers.
ARRANGEMENT:
The Monthly Reports and the Annual Summaries are on Reels 1-4 of this collection. The material on Conferences starts on Reel 4 and continues through to Reel 14. Indented frame numbers and entries highlight documents relating to the particular conference. Speeches and Articles have titles, authors and dates included when possible. These are within Reels 14-23.
