Milne
Alumni February Newsletter Dear
Classmates & Milne Alumni, I hope the Valentine's Day Blizzard in the Northeast did not cause too much trouble if it affected where you live. I have heard from people in Maryland, where they lost electrical power, and here where I live, we had over ten inches of snow. I stopped shoveling snow this afternoon to write this newsletter, but I welcomed the break, as my fingers were numb in the wind chill. I have had a good number of responses from Milne Alumni to the Milne Family List. This is the list where I went through all the names in the Milne Directory and only kept those that had multiple listings of the last name. I wanted to match up all the Milne siblings and those with parents who went to Milne. I also wanted to list cousins and married Milne Alumni couples. I have been revising the list as responses have come in. (Note: Please see the May 2007 newsletter for an updated list.) If you have any additions or corrections, I would be pleased to hear from you. While I have spent more time with the Family list than the other lists I have been working on, I have also revised the Milne Alumni Career List.(Note: Please see the May 2007 newsletter for an updated list.) I received many responses and I am looking to expand this list to be as comprehensive as possible. If you know of any additional information for it, please send it to me. The third
list is the Milne Student Teachers list. One of the reasons I started
this is because there is the Reunion Luncheon scheduled this June
2nd at the Milne Campus. It will be held under a tent erected over
the Page Hall Courtyard and will be part of the University's annual
Alumni Weekend. Our Milne Student Teachers came from SUNYA, and as
there will be many SUNYA alumni at this event, I thought perhaps we
could match up the former Milne students with some of their former
student teachers. I have been collecting information for this event
and I have copied the list assembled so far. (See Student
Teachers.) If you know of anyone who would like to be added to the monthly newsletter list, please let me know. I know of class reunions being planned for the year of 1957, but if you know of any others that are in the works, please let me know. I look forward to hearing from you. I enjoy your e-mails. I hope you have a good month. Best
wishes, |
