Alumni March Newsletter Dear Milne Alumni and Supporters, In this issue: * UAlbany's Response to COVID-19 * A Message from Jon McClelland, '62 * Sad News UALBANY'S RESPONSE TO COVID-19 According to https://www.albany.edu/covid-19, "Classes are suspended on Friday, March 13" and "At the end of Spring Break, all classes will be offered remotely until further notice. A remote option will be available for all classes through the end of the semester regardless of when in-person classes resume." Can you imagine what the response would have been in "our day"? STAY HEALTHY! A MESSAGE FROM JON McCLELLAND, '62 Jon "would like to hear from 1962 classmates, and '60, '61, and '3 friends. A big mistake on my part for not staying in touch with anyone (except for bumping into my ex-wife Ann Miller, '63. She's doing well. SAD NEWS Edward Hamilton Nichols, '58, passed away on January 29, 2020. He leaves a wife, 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren. Margaret Slocum, mother of Peter Slocum, '65, passed away on February 9, 2020. Margaret was also a student teacher at Milne in approximately 1958. Adrienne GEWIRTZMAN Rockwood, '50, mother of Marta ROCKWOOD Koblenz, '73, and Gary Rockwood, '76, passed away on February 17, 2020. Robert Henrickson, '62, brother of Kathleen Henrickson, '60, and son of Professor Floyd Henrickson, passed away on February 26, 2020.
