Alumni May Newsletter Dear Milne Alumni and Supporters, In this issue: * Digitization Project Update! * 2012 Milne Alumni Reunion Review...Coming Soon! * Sad News (Please note that links included in Milne Alumni Newsletters may at some point become obsolete.) DIGITIZATION PROJECT UPDATE! To date we have received $10,362 toward digitizing all available Crimson & White and Bricks & Ivy editions. This includes $5,000 in matching funds from the Marcia Brown Library Fund. We are now able to begin our digitzation project, which will enable us to enjoy full-text web access of many of our Milne yearbooks and/or newspapers via searchable files. Please remember that the total necessary to complete this project is $25,000...so if you haven't yet donated or wish to increase your contribution, we're not finished yet! For further information, see https://www.albany.edu/~milne/Project.shtml. A list of donations is available at https://www.albany.edu/~milne/DigitizationDonations.pdf. Again, for those who are interested, microfilming is done on planetary cameras, including Zeutschel and Gratek Congress I, and book cradles are available to allow bound volumes to be microfilmed without disbanding. Hudson Microimaging's digital conversion services provide an output as Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) and derivative formats such as Portable Document Format (PDF) that are indexed to facilitate retrieval. If you have further questions about the digitization process, please contact Brian Keough. 2012 MILNE ALUMNI REUNION REVIEW...COMING SOON!
