Alumni July Newsletter Dear Milne Alumni and Supporters, In this issue: * Digitization Project Update! * Class Links * Email-Address Links * Sad News DIGITIZATION PROJECT UPDATE! As of 07/15/14, our total is $13,677. As I have explained previously, the original estimate to complete this project was $25,000, but, as with anything else, the price will rise as time passes...so if you haven't yet donated or wish to increase your contribution, please consider doing so soon. Thank you very much to those who have already contributed. I have been advised that "the digitization vendors picked up the first set of books to be scanned. Should be on the internet by the end of summer." If you click here and then click on the donations link, you will see that although many alumni have donated to this important project, we still need donations, large or small, from others. Please help us reach our goal so that we are able to digitize all available Crimson & White and Bricks & Ivy editions, which will enable us to enjoy full-text web access of our Milne yearbooks and/or newspapers via searchable files. If we, as Milne School Alumni, don't ensure that our memorabilia is preserved...who will? For further information, see https://www.albany.edu/~milne/Project.shtml. A list of donations is available at https://www.albany.edu/~milne/DigitizationDonations.pdf. If your donation does not yet appear on our list, please note that the University sends updates every two weeks...or so. CLASS LINKS The Class of '64 recently updated its reunion link on our website. Unfortunately, some other classes either moved or removed information from the Web so that their links are no longer valid. Please provide me with updates, and I will be happy to revise or remove your links, as appropriate. If any classes have new photos and/or reunion information on the Web and would like me to add a link on our website, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your help! EMAIL-ADDRESS LINKS SAD NEWS Rosalie (Ros) Surrey, mother of Dr. Janet Surrey, '62, passed away on March 29, 2014. Please note that I rely upon the Albany Times Union and input from other alumni for this information, so if you become aware of someone who has passed away, please let me know. If a name is underlined, it represents a link to the obituary. Many obituaries are available free for a limited time only. Thanks to all of you for your interest in Milne Alumni activities.
