MILNE ALUMNI REUNION UPDATE--RESERVATION LIST! Click here to see who is attending the September 8th reunion banquet! MILNE ALUMNI REUNION INDIVIDUAL CLASS EVENTS Class of 1949 will gather at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, September 7th, for a luncheon to be co-hosted by Jim Clark and Jim Panton. The event will be held at the Fort Orange Club, 110 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY 12210, in the Trustees Room on the second floor. Please contact Pat Smith for further information. Class of 1957 will get together on Friday, September 7th, at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington Tavern on Western Avenue in Albany. Several class members are meeting for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings of the reunion weekend. Contact Dan Brown for further information. Class of 1960 will meet at the home of Rob Cantwell for a casual get-together starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 7th. There will be pizza, wings, and salad and, of course, beer, wine, and soda. Please contact Liz Gemlick if you are able to attend or have any questions. Class of 1961 will meet informally at Chat's Lounge at the Marriott on Friday evening, September 7th, at 7:30 p.m. This is a "Dutch Treat" event -- cash bar and several menus from which you may choose if you so desire. Please contact Judy Koblintz Madnick if you plan to attend or have any questions. Class of 1962 will celebrate their 50th class reunion on Friday, September 7th, at 6 p.m. at the Albany Marriott. Contact Jana Hesser for details. Class of 1964 will enjoy a class get-together on Friday, September 7th, at 3 p.m. at the Thompson's Lake cottage of Anne and Richard Blabey, 28 Blabey Lane. The event will consist of a picnic supper. Please bring your own beverages, and an appetizer, snack, or dessert would be welcome as well. RSVP to Richard Blabey, with a cc to Martha LOWDER Kimball. Class of 1966 has a reservation at the New World Bistro Bar at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 7th. Class of 1971 will meet at Beff's on Everett Road on Friday, September 7th, at 7 p.m. AND at the Gateway Diner on Sunday, September 9th, at 8 a.m. Please contact Mary Welch if you are interested in attending or have any questions. Class of 1972 will gather for dinner and drinks on Friday evening, September 7th, at 7 p.m. at Martel's Restaurant. (Some alumni will be arriving as early as 5 p.m.) Martel's is located at Albany's Capital Hills Golf Course, 65 O'Neil Rd, Albany, NY 12208. This is the former Muni Golf Course on New Scotland Avenue. You will be able to order from the menu, so you can choose whatever you would like. Contact Mona Freedman Hampson or Elaine Wieczorek with questions or to let them know how many to expect. Classes of 1973 to 1977 will meet on Friday, September 7th, at 7 p.m. at The Point, which is located at 1100 Madison Avenue, Albany, NY 12203. It is in the first block of Madison Avenue where Western and Madison merge, a few blocks above the College of Saint Rose. Contact person is Roslyn Jefferson. SAD NEWS Please note that I rely upon the Albany Times Union and input from other alumni for this information, so if you become aware of someone who has passed away, please let me know. If a name is underlined, it represents a link to the obituary. Many obituaries are available free for a limited time only. Clayton Besch, '48, passed away on July 12, 2012. Albert Ronald "Ron" Thomas, '52, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2012. Alexander Pirnie, '50, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. He was the husband of Beverly ORRETT Pirnie, '50, and the brother of the late Jean PIRNIE Clements, '46, who passed away in 2011. Steve Browne, husband of Mary BREEZE Browne, '59, passed away suddenly on July 24, 2012. Edwin Sells, '58, passed away on July 21, 2012. Nancy GOTIER Fein, '50, passed away July 19, 2012.
