Alumni August Newsletter Dear Milne Alumni and Supporters, In this issue: * Reunions -- Mini and Mini-Mini!! * Sad News REUNIONS -- MINI AND MINI-MINI! From Elizabeth Gemlick, '60: A very, very mini-mini Milne class reunion was held on August 16. It was a fun afternoon reminiscing with Jeffrey Segel and Carolyn Lannon. From Maggie McDermott, '65: Bill Dey had come back from Florida for a visit, and on August 9, Linda Bedian, Joan Sheehan Bishop, Guy Roemer, Steve Hutchins, Bonnie Losee Kroha, Len Mokhiber, Bob Edwards, and Cindy Newman McClane spent the day at the races in Saratoga. Linda Bearup Porter stopped in for a quick hello. After a great day, weather, and friends, most of us went to dinner at Reel Seafood to continue into the evening. We were joined there by Jeannie Snyder Domino and Frosine Karlaftis Stolis. We had a great meal on the patio, and it all ended on a high note, albeit too soon. We were so excited to catch up with each other that we realized there is never enough time, and we agreed to try to meet more often. In addition to finding out more about each other, we found that the spouses and significant others were amazing and we enjoyed them as well. From Arthur Vener, '68: Several members of our class had an informal gathering at the track in Saratoga last month. Dean Quackenbush, Arthur Vener, Ron Laraway, Linda Lockwood, Richard Friedlander, Warren Edwards, and Bob Bedian spent an enjoyable afternoon at a fun place to catch up! From Leon Aronowitz, '73: A group of us met for an informal meeting Thursday evening, August 3, to recount fun times had by all at our alma matter. Attending were Nancy Kahn, Sue Fischler, Mike Balisen, Norm Vener, Peter Bulger, Larry Abrams, Stephanie Heisman, Leon Aronowitz, Mark Milstein, Linda Joseph, and Margie Santen. Elizabeth MANN Margison, '40, passed away on July 13, 2017. Preston Robinson, a member of the Class of '40 and who graduated with the Class of '41, passed away on July 24, 2017. Harlan "Hank" Stock, '64, passed away on August 1, 2017. Andrew Van Cleve, '70, brother of Donald Van Cleve, '68, passed away on August 6, 2017. Benjamin Mendel, '48, passed away on August 8, 2017.
