CLASS OF 1956 BASEBALL TROPHY NOW ONLINE
Another trophy has been added to our digital listing of Milne trophies, thanks to members of the Class of '56. It can be viewed here and is the first trophy pictured.
DR. THEODORE H. FOSSIECK SCHOLARSHIP THANK YOU NOTE
"Dear Milne Alumni,
"Our daughter, Sierra Liotta, received the Dr. Theodore H. Fossieck Scholarship from the fall of 2019 through the spring of 2023. I want to thank you all for that special opportunity. Sierra is the third of five children, so the scholarship was particularly helpful.
"Sierra's grandmother (my mother) Marion (Preisser) Leizer is a 1955 Milne alumna. Currently 86 years old, Marion is still so very proud of her Milne years, and she continues to refer to stories about those years. Marion was thrilled to hear through the Milne newsletter that this scholarship existed and very pleased when it was awarded to her granddaughter. This has been a nice bonding topic for us all.
"Sierra graduated summa cum laude from UAlbany in May 2023 with a B.S. in Atmospheric Science and a minor in Math. Last month she began graduate school in Boulder, Colorado. Sierra absolutely loves school, just like her grandmother!
"Thank you again for the opportunity for Sierra to learn of the scholarship and for all you do to help others.
"Very sincerely,
"Wendy and Jim Liotta and Sierra and whole family!"
Wendy told me that Sierra wrote thank you notes to the appropriate UAlbany office when she received the scholarships.

Ms. Patricia Grace AVERILL, '58, passed away in 2016.
C. Tristram Coffin, '47, died September 3, 2023. He was the brother of the late Lawrence Irving COFFIN, '49, and Lucinda COFFIN Huggins, a member of the Class of '61.
Brian R. MC CABE, '69, passed away September 12, 2023. He was the brother of Linda MC CABE Gardner, '66.
