Alumni November Newsletter Dear Milne Alumni and Supporters, In this issue: * Milne Trophies: Here's Your Chance to Own One! * Sad News MILNE TROPHIES: HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO OWN ONE! The University at Albany is unable to continue to store Milne trophies, so they are now available to those who are interested in owning one (first come, first served!). Please click here to view the trophies that are available. (Please note that the page may load slowly due to the number of photographs.) If there's a trophy or trophies you would like, please notify me by Friday, November 30th, by sending an email here. You will be able to pick up your desired trophies at the UAlbany Alumni House weekdays between December 4th and 14th. We are not able to mail the trophies, so please make arrangements for pickup on your own. If you live out of town, perhaps a family member or classmate can pick up the trophy or trophies in which you are interested. If you have any questions regarding pickup, you may contact the Alumni House as follows: Call 518-442-3080, send an email to [email protected], and/or find directions here. Please note that some of these trophies are damaged or in several pieces. I would be happy to explain their condition once you express interest. Unfortunately, several trophies remain missing in spite of all our attempts to locate them. Looking forward to hearing from those of you who wish to take advantage of this unique opportunity! SAD NEWS Willard D. Welch, brother of Marjorie WELCH Nelson, '77, passed away on October 14, 2018. Betty Richter, mother of Dr. Alan Richter, '65; Dr. Barry Richter, '68; and Carol Richter Roffman, '70; wife of the late Dr. Irving Richter, '33; and sister-in-law of Leona Richter Toppal, '47, and the late Harriet Richter Koblintz, '38, passed away on October 18, 2018. Margaret Mary RAY Sample, '77, passed away on October 20, 2018. Gilda Schuman, mother of Debbie Schuman Schwartzman, passed away on October 26, 2018. Mary CONTOMPASIS Albertin, '67, passed away on October 27, 2018. Mary was the sister of Milne alumnae/i Penelope Contompasis, '65; Harry Contompasis, '66; Margaret Contompasis, '69; and James Contompasis, '76. Toby GOLDSTEIN Brownstein, '55, passed away on November 3, 2018. She was the brother of the late Herbert Lawrence Goldstein, '49. . Francis Hodge, a former member of the Milne English Department, passed away on November 5, 2018. Thanks to all of you for your interest in Milne Alumni activities.
