Fossieck Scholarship * Zoom Reunions * Sad News HOLIDAY WISHES Best wishes for a very meaningful and enjoyable Thanksgiving and Chanukah to those who celebrate! We have a great deal to be thankful for, even though COVID has changed our lives so much. Stay well! DR. THEODORE H. FOSSIECK SCHOLARSHIP If you, as a Milne School alumnus, alumna, or faculty member, have a direct descendant attending or planning to attend the University at Albany as an undergraduate for the upcoming school year, application may be made for the Dr. Theodore H. Fossieck Scholarship by completing the application here beginning on December 1, 2021, for the 2022-2023 scholarship cycle. If you have any questions, please contact Student Financial Services at 518-442-3202 or [email protected]. "Established by Dr. Theodore H. Fossieck, former Principal of the Milne School and member of the Education faculty, the purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a descendant of a Milne School graduate or of a Milne School faculty member.... The scholarship will be awarded to the first eligible person to apply during the application period, providing the recipient meets admissions standards." Please note that if sufficient funds are available, there may be more than one recipient. ZOOM REUNIONS Ten members of the Class of '61 participated in a Zoom reunion on October 18th. As in the past, we enjoyed catching up with one another's lives, sharing good news and difficulties. We decided that we would have another virtual reunion in the near future, as there were several classmates who expressed interest in attending but due to schedule conflicts were unable to do so. (It's nice to know that we're still busy enough to have conflicts!) I would encourage other classes to get together virtually if they're not ready for in-person get-togethers or if traveling is an issue. SAD NEWS Carol Anne Beebe Lynch, '65, passed away on May 6, 2021. Ruby R. Steinhardt, wife of the late Frank Steinhardt, '38, passed away on October 15, 2021. Emmett S. Ten Broeck, '54, passed away on October 29, 2021. Thanks to all of you for your interest in Milne Alumni activities.
