Alumni November Newsletter Dear Milne Alumni and Supporters, In this issue: * Dr. Theodore H. Fossieck Scholarship * Sad News DR. THEODORE H. FOSSIECK SCHOLARSHIP If you, as a Milne School alumnus, alumna, or faculty member, have a direct descendant attending or planning to attend the University at Albany as an undergraduate for the upcoming school year, application may be made for the Dr. Theodore H. Fossieck Scholarship by completing the application here from December 1, 2022, until June 1, 2023, for the 2023-2024 scholarship cycle. If you have any questions, please contact Student Financial Services at 518-442-3202 or [email protected] "Established by Dr. Theodore H. Fossieck, former Principal of the Milne School and member of the Education faculty, the purpose of this fund is to provide a scholarship to a descendant of a Milne School graduate or of a Milne School faculty member.... The scholarship will be awarded to the first eligible person to apply during the application period, providing the recipient meets admissions standards." Please note that if sufficient funds are available, there may be more than one recipient. You will be happy to know that last year a scholarship was awarded to the descendant of Milne attendee(s). SAD NEWS Richard Windsor Taylor, '51, passed away on September 15, 2022. He was the brother of John Clayton Taylor, '47, and Frederick Brooks Taylor, '59. Coach Bob Lewis passed away on October 25, 2022. Diane Schwartz, the best friend and wife of 39 years of Richard Schwartz, '70, passed away in her sleep on October 27, 2022. Torre Lyn KINGSTON Rosenzweig, daughter of Tom Kingston, '65, and Diane Jones Kingston, '67, passed away on November 5, 2022. ________________ Thanks to all of you for your interest in Milne Alumni activities.
