FACULTY
LISTING
I
received an email from Ellen SIEGAL Ossofsky, '52, that
provided me with two faculty members' names, Ms.
Florence Raanes (Latin) and Mr. Vincent Popolizio (Art). When I
searched for Florence Raanes on the Web, I found a State
College News edition that contained information regarding
several "new" Milne faculty members, in particular,
their educational background. I have added a few links to the
Milne Faculty page and would love to
find links for other faculty members. But I can't do
everything!! Perhaps one or more of you would like to help find
links that would allow us to learn more about our Milne
supervisors.
HOLIDAY
GREETING FROM ARLEEN SUSSER BLACKSTONE,
'57
When you
receive this Christmas 'Card-ey'
We'll be preparing for a Birthday Party.
On January 2, Mom will be among
Those who turn 100 years young!!
We all
love to travel, sightsee and such,
Sometimes we're away far too much.
Alabama thrice, Vancouver/Seattle, Santa Fe,
There's still more that we have to
say.
We three
are members of POWERtalk ITC
Our Conference in Destin by the sea.
Highlight was Ed Hubbard's inspiring speech
"At your lowest depths, upward look and r e a c
h!"
Balvens at Eglin for a three day meeting;
A perfect time for reminiscing and eating.
Friendship from Okinawa after many years
Art, Terry & Lyndi began in similar
careers.
POWERtalk
took us to Vancouver three days;
Met Gerrit then our Alaska cruise got under way.
Startling change of plans, we now think back
To docking in Juneau and Art's heart
attack!
We know
God was with us every leg of the trip,
Lifelined to Seattle via Juneau from ship.
Bahamas friends prayed us on our way,
Love displayed, more than words can say.
Open heart
surgery, hospitalized 13 days, no more;
Nurse escort accompanied us right to our front door.
Rehab and therapy really bringing Art along
God predestined each step - we're where we
belong.
Ten weeks
later we were off again;
Drive to Biloxi, dinner with friends
Flight to Albuquerque and drive to Santa Fe,
Caracas classmates absent, see them another
day.
Art's
physical therapy - he's nearing his goal;
At the golf course he hits buckets of balls.
Has played neither nine or eighteen yet,
But he'll do it in 2010, you can
bet!
That's a wrap - year
Two Thousand and Nine.
Mom will speak to 3rd graders yet another time.
We wish you Blessings and Holidays of mirth.
Celebrate Hanukkah and our Saviour's birth.
