A SPECIAL THANK YOU A special "thanks" to Mary WELCH, '71, who recently suggested that I subscribe to ObitMessenger, a service of http://www.legacy.com/NS/. By inserting keywords, I am notified of obituaries throughout the country that may relate to the Milne School. For those of you who are new subscribers to the newsletter, Mary started the newsletter in 2005 when there were few enough subscribers that she was able to send the newsletter to individual email addresses. We now have nearly 400 recipients and rely on our Yahoo! Group for newsletter announcements! Mary also was instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our alumni directories and is playing an important role in our 2012 reunion planning. Thank you, Mary, for your ongoing assistance and support with so many aspects of Milne Alumni projects. SAD NEWS Please note that I rely upon the Albany Times Union and input from other alumni for this information, so if you become aware of someone who has passed away, please let me know. Nancy TRIPP Taylor, '53, passed away on October 13, 2011 (omitted from the October 15th newsletter). Jean PIRNIE Clements, '46, passed away on November 21, 2011. Jean was the sister of Alexander PIRNIE, '60, and sister-in-law of Beverly ORRETT Pirnie, '50. Sarah Blabey-Rossi, daughter of David E. BLABEY, '61, passed away on November 22, 2011. Muriel WELCH Brown, '43, passed away on November 22, 2011. Miriam G. KOBLENZ, mother of Merle KOBLENZ, '72, passed away on November 25, 2011.
