Professional Interests
Phil has experience working with a diverse range of adults and adolescents facing various challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, developmental trauma, and grief. He has a particular interest in helping individuals navigate issues related to problematic alcohol and substance use. Ultimately, Phil aspires to help bridge the gap between research and clinical practice, contributing to the broader implementation of evidence-based treatments for substance use disorders and other co-occurring conditions.
Approach to Therapy
Phil’s therapeutic approach is collaborative and client-centered. He draws from a variety of therapeutic modalities to support clients in achieving their goals, including cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions.
Approach to Wellness
Phil enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking in the Adirondacks or biking along the Hudson River. He also has a passion for art museums and attending music performances of all genres.
