Academic Advising supports your success from orientation through graduation. We can help you achieve your educational goals, improve your academic performance and connect you to resources and opportunities at UAlbany.
You will have a dedicated advisor throughout your college career. In addition, you will have a departmental advisor once you declare a major.

During the first week of class, advisors are available in the Academic Support Center in the Taconic Building for drop-in advising.

- Dates: August 24-31
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m
Students can stop by without an appointment for assistance with registration, course schedules, academic planning, and other advising questions.
During the semester, drop-in advising is available to all undergraduate students throughout the semester during these hours:
- Monday through Thursday, 1 to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday, 1 to 3 p.m.
