Professional Interests
Jenny aspires to meet students from diverse backgrounds with various concerns (e.g., college transition, cross-cultural adjustment, relationship issues, and trauma). Her research interests focus on multicultural counseling training and development, which is to promote trainees’ confidence in seeing racially/ethnically diverse clients.
Approach to Therapy
Jenny believes a collaborative and trusting relationship is fundamental in therapy. She adopts an integrative approach to therapy incorporating person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and others depending on the needs and preferences of clients. In addition, she strives to be culturally responsive and empower clients to utilize their strengths.
Approach to Wellness
She finds joy in traveling, trying new cuisines, being in nature, playing table tennis, and spending time with family and friends.
