UAlbany Teams Up with South American University to Learn about Brazilian Economy
UAlbany has teamed up with Mackenzie Presbyterian University in São Paolo, Brazil, to offer its students a new summer study abroad program. Fourteen UAlbany students and recent graduates recently returned to the region from the inaugural trip to South America, where they learned about Brazilian business and its economy.

UAlbany President Jones announces a $1.5 million gift from area philanthropists, J. Spencer and Patricia Standish, to endow a professorship in the University’s School of Business. Cuomo Names Dean of Computing and Information to Lead His Cyber Security Advisory Board
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announces the appointment of Peter Bloniarz, dean of the College of Computing and Information, to serve as Executive Director and Senior Policy Advisor to the Governor’s Cyber Security Advisory Board. As a result of the appointment, Bloniarz will take a leave from his dean position at UAlbany.

Shop24 Global LLC and University Auxiliary Services at Albany successfully install the first of two Shop24 Stores on the UAlbany’s Uptown Campus. The newly installed automated convenience store has its Grand Opening during the University’s Homecoming Weekend, Oct. 19.
