Shereesha Richards Earns Associated Press Honorable Mention All-American Honors
The Associated Press has announced University at Albany women’s basketball junior Shereesha Richards as an Honorable Mention All-American for the 2014-15 season. Richards is the first Division I All-American in UAlbany women’s basketball history.

Five Quad Ambulance Service Named EMS Organization of the Year
The University at Albany’s Five Quad Volunteer Ambulance Service has been named the 2015 Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Organization of the Year by the National Collegiate Emergency Foundation (NCEMSF). Additionally, UAlbany was one of eight universities to be awarded the HEARTSafe Campus designation.

UAlbany Study Explains Global Warming 'Hiatus' Since 2000
A new UAlbany study published in the April 13, 2015, issue of Nature Climate Change, links the Inter-decadal Pacific Oscillation (IPO) with essentially all the difference between observed and model-simulated global warming rates on decadal time scales since 1920, and in particular the warming hiatus since year 2000.

Newer Drug-Coated Stents Prolong Life Expectancy According to UAlbany-NYU Study
Newer drug-coated stents have similar life expectancy rates as traditional bypass surgery, according to a clinical registry study led by University at Albany Distinguished Professor Emeritus Edward Hannan and cardiologists at NYU Langone Medical Center.

The University at Albany, Albany Medical Center and community volunteers join together at UAlbany's SEFCU Arena to pack and deliver "survival kits" to victims who have undergone forensic testing in the aftermath of sexual assault. Some 200 kits were delivered. -
