UPD Police Car Graphics Design Wins Second
"It's elegant in its simplicity," declared the judges in selecting the graphics decorating UAlbany's University Police Department vehicles as a second place winner in Law and Order magazine's 2007 International Police Vehicle Design Contest Winners competition.
UPD was honored in the Federal or State Agency division of the competition, winning a commemorative plaque, $75 for the charity of its choice, and 25 free copies of Law and Order magazine. A photo of the UAlbany police car was featured in the August issue of Law and Order magazine, along with the judges' comments and a photo of the car.
UPD's design team included Assistant Chief of Police Thomas Kilcullen, Captain John Canto, and Sgt. Robert Krichbaum. Larosa's Automotive of Rotterdam, N.Y., created and installed the graphics package.
The University at Buffalo, SUNY, came in first place in the same category.
