What you forget
gone already
whatever it was
past a warm glow
rearranging a thought,
a lost inspiration
that would not wait
for a pen
poetry workshop
The workshop files down
all the rough edges,
blunts the sword,
makes the gun
grow flowers,
turns the fight with the dragon
into a tea party
where they discuss
alternate lines
instead of rivulets
of blood.
