Joseph “Steve” Casscles, B.A.’81, is the author of Grapes of the Hudson Valley which details the 200-year history of grape growing, breeding and winemaking in the Hudson Valley. The book includes information on how to make wine, prune vines and establish a vineyard. Casscles is the winemaker at the Hudson-Chatham Winery in Ghent, N.Y.
Karen Lee Oliver, B.A.’81, is the author of Tranquility, Solitude, and Other Poems; Tales from the Mirwood; and Pergola. Oliver is a member of the Academy of American Poets. She resides in Clifton Park, N.Y.
Bruce Henderson, Ph.D.’86, published A Vegan Primer. In the book, Henderson offers carefully researched reasons for adopting a vegan diet. He is a professor at Fullerton College in California.
