The ID Card Office is open virtually due to COVID-19. Manage your ID card services online at UAlbanyID.com or through the CBORD Mobile ID App. If you need assistance, please call (518) 442-5989, or email the ID Card Office at [email protected]. Click here for hours of operation. 

Please click the categories below for instructions on how to order a new and replacement card. 

New Resident Students:

STEP 1- Submit your ID Card photo for approval

  1. Go to UAlbanyID.com and log in using your NetID and password
  2. Select ‘myPhoto’
  3. Follow instructions to upload a current photo and official form of photo identification (e.g. driver’s license or passport)
  4. Select ‘Done’ when complete. Keep an eye out for an acceptance or rejection email concerning your photo. 

You MUST order your ID Card- Once you receive an acceptance notification email regarding your photo, proceed to Step 2 and order your ID card.

STEP 2- Order your ID Card- Your first card is complimentary. Just select ‘Free ID Card’ at checkout. 

  1. Go to UAlbanyID.com and log in using your NetID and password
  2. Select ‘New/Replacement ID Card’ *
  3. Select ‘Pickup’ then choose ‘Orientation- Pickup at Res Life Check-In’ from the list
  4. Select ‘Add Item’ then go to ‘My Cart’ to checkout
  5. Choose payment type ‘Free ID Card’ and ‘Pay Now’!

*Selecting ‘New/Replacement ID Card’ brings you to the log in screen again, please log in and navigate to ‘Order’ from the menu in the top banner, then select ‘ID Card Office’ from the list.

Your card will be printed and available at check-in with Residential Life
 

New Employee: 

STEP 1- Submit your ID Card photo for approval

Your card will be printed and distributed as per your selection when ordering:

On-Campus: delivered to departmental mailrooms listed under on-campus delivery.  Delivery usually occurs the following business day if ordered before 3pm.

Off-Campus: mailed to address provided when ordering. Standard USPS mail delivery times apply.

You will receive important instructions to immediately install your Mobile ID which can be used immediately for almost everything including transactions and Employee Door Access (door access is not available to students).

Installation Instructions:

  1. Download CBORD Mobile ID the app store  
  2. Choose ‘UAlbany’ from the server list  
  3. Log in with your NetID and password   
  4. Set up your pin  
  5. Enjoy.

Mobile ID Dining & Bookstore Transaction Instructions

  1. Open Mobile ID
  2. Tell cashier which plan you would like to use
  3. Present the QR code to the register scanner.

NOTE:  If the code does not work, refresh the app.

Returning/Existing Resident Student: 

Order your replacement ID Card- 

  1. Go to UAlbanyID.com and log in using your NetID and password
  2. Select ‘New / Replacement ID Card’ *
  3. Select "Set On-Campus Location" and enter your on-campus delivery location and mailbox number.
  4. Select ‘Add Item’ then go to ‘My Cart’ to checkout
  5. Choose payment type and ‘Pay Now’!

*If selecting ‘New / Replacement ID Card’ brings you to the log in screen again, please log in and navigate to ‘Order’ from the menu in the top banner, then select ‘ID Card Office’ from the list.

Your card will be printed and delivered to your on-campus mailbox. Delivery usually occurs the following business day if ordered before 3pm.

Please Note: A physical ID card is only needed to access the Library, attend classes on the Downtown Campus, ride CDTA to campus, or use your ID Card in vending machines or print/copy machines on campus.  

Order your replacement ID Card- 

  1. Go to UAlbanyID.com and log in using your NetID and password
  2. Select ‘New/Replacement ID Card’ *
  3. Select pickup or delivery method and select/enter address accordingly
  4. Select ‘Add Item’ then go to ‘My Cart’ to checkout
  5. Choose payment type and ‘Pay Now’!

Your card will be printed and mailed to the address provided when ordering. Standard USPS mail delivery times apply.

IF YOUR CARD IS DAMAGED OR NOT WORKING:

Please email [email protected] with a photo of your current ID Card and your on campus address or off campus mailing address. It must be your most current card and show signs of normal wear and tear to qualify for a replacement free of charge. The ID Card office will notify you when your replacement card has been printed and placed in campus mail.

 

Existing Employees: 

Order your Replacement ID Card- 

  1. Go to UAlbanyID.com and log in using your NetID and password
  2. Select ‘New / Replacement ID Card’ *
  3. Select delivery method and enter destination accordingly
  4. Select ‘Add Item’ then go to ‘My Cart’ to checkout
  5. Choose payment type ‘Free ID Card’ and ‘Pay Now’!
  6. *Selecting ‘New/Replacement ID Card’ brings you to the log in screen again, please log in and navigate to ‘Order’ from the menu in the top banner, then select ‘ID Card Office’ from the list.

Your card will be printed and distributed as per your selection when ordering:

Replacing a Temp Card

When a Temporary ID Card is issued the person will receive an automatic email with replacement instructions or may follow the instructions for returning/existing students and employees. A replacement must be ordered within 3 days and activated within 4 more days (A temporary ID Card is active for a total of 7 days). The temporary ID Card must then be returned to the office where it was issued.

 

Add, drop, and change your meal plan until February 12! Log in to UAlbanyID.com or use your CBORD Mobile ID App to make changes to your meal plans and add funds. Meal plans begin January 26th at 4PM. 

Changes and Updates to Campus Center retail dining venues

  • A new venue, Purple Plate, will replace Simple Servings. This venue will be open for lunch and dinner and will provide value-priced full meals (entrée and sides) at a 50% discount to students on a myFlex and myChoice Meal Plan using Discount Dollars. 
  • Allergen-free Simple Serving meals will be offered as grab & go at 518 Market at a 30% discount to students on a myFlex and myChoice Meal Plan using Discount Dollars (note that Simple Serving meals at 518 have been adjusted to be the same price as when offered at a 50% discount in the fall). 
  • Fountain Grill Breakfast will start offering a full breakfast “meal deal” plate at a 50% discount to students on a myFlex and myChoice Meal Plan using Discount Dollars.  
  • WOW at Damien’s Café will be closed during the spring term. Wings can be purchased at the Purple Plate on a rotating basis. 
  • Starbucks will require ordering on the GET Food App only. No register ordering available.

Though Kosher Kitchen will be closed, prepackaged kosher meals will be available for pick up at 518 Market. Please email [email protected] to receive access to the preorder form. Kosher meals are discounted 30% for those on a myFlex or myChoice Meal Plan. Weekly menus are posted on the Kosher Kitchen webpage for review. Frozen kosher meals can also be purchased from 518 Market at the Campus Center (Note: meal plan students should use Munch Money, Podium or credit card for 518 Market items since there is no discount when using Discount Dollars).

Reminder: Discount Dollars and Munch Money rollover from fall to spring. Any unused funds will expire at the end of the spring semester.
