Chong Liu
Chong Liu is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at UAlbany. He received his PhD in Computer Science from UC Santa Barbara in 2023 and spent one year as a Data Science Institute Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Chicago. His research interests lie broadly in Machine Learning and AI for Science, with emphasis on Bayesian optimization, bandits, active learning, experimental design, AI for drug discovery. He is an editorial board reviewer of JMLR and serves on program committees of ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, AISTATS, AAAI, ISMB, KDD, and SDM conferences. He is also the lead organizer of the NeurIPS 2023 Workshop on New Frontiers of AI for Drug Discovery and Development.
