Dr. Marques de Carvalho joined the Department of Computer Science at University at Albany in the Summer of 2018. Prior to that he was a faculty member of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at the University of Toledo, Ohio. He was a computer science faculty in North America at University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, University of Windsor, Ontario, and Western University, Ontario, and in South America at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Natal, Brazil. He also worked also as a consultant in software engineering at Electronic Data Systems, Indianapolis, Indiana and at General Electric, Cleveland, Ohio.
Research Interests
Dr. Marques de Carvalho’s research interests are in the areas of software engineering, multimodal human-computer interaction and user modeling, and document processing.
