Dr. Jeong-Hyon Hwang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University at Albany, State University of New York, and Director of the Data Management Systems (DMS) Lab. In 2012, Dr. Hwang became the recipient of the highly competitive National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award. This award came with funding of approximately $500,000 which was used in the development of G*, a system capable of efficiently storing and querying series of graphs on multiple servers.

Databases and Distributed Systems (detailed topics: graph database systems, trajectory data management, real-time data stream processing, Internet-scale data management, fault tolerance and load management).
