Dr. Dola Saha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University at Albany and a co-director of the Mobile Emerging Systems and Applications (MESA) Lab. She comes to us from her positions at the Wireless Information Network Laboratory (WINLAB) and Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at Rutgers University. In addition to an active research agenda, Dr. Saha participates in publicly engaged activities which encourage young women in STEM.
Research Interests
Dr. Saha’s research lies in the crossroads of Machine Learning for Wireless Signals, Wireless Communication, Signal Processing and Security. She also works on machine learning algorithms for Neuromorphic Computing with focus on systems design and practical evaluation. Her research areas include TeraHertz Communication, Detection and Localization of Unknown Signals (SIGINT), Coexistence of Active and Passive users of Spectrum, like Mobile Communication and Radio Astronomy, and sensing and communication from UAVs.
