Professor Chen nominated for the Torch Award

Economics Professor Cuicui Chen has been nominated for the 2021 Torch Faculty/Student Engagement Award. The nomination is made by graduating sernios to recognize a faculty member who has had a positive and significant impact on their academic and personal success. A nominating student wrote:
 "...She dedicates her time to not only upload every lecture and study materials on time, but she also shows her true passion in teaching environmental economics in her lecture videos. She also engages with her students while she's not preparing lectures, by creating scheduled Zoom meetings to make sure we are on the right track for our group projects and a separate Zoom meeting after class for general questions about what we learned in our lecture. She made it feel like there were no real barriers when it comes to teaching and assisting students. I had a really wonderful experience taking her class..."
