Professor Barış Yörük Awarded NIH Reesearch Grant to Study Alcohol Consumption and Related Outcomes

We are pleased to announce that Professor Barış K. Yörük has been awarded a two-year research grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The grant, funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA), supports his project titled "The Impact of the Uniform Accident and Sickness Policy Provision Law on Alcohol Consumption and Alcohol Consumption-Related Outcomes." 

Running from 2024 to 2026, the project has secured $156,500 in funding and aims to investigate the effects of insurance policy regulations on alcohol consumption patterns and related health outcomes. This significant grant reflects Professor Yörük's ongoing contributions to public health research and his commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of alcohol-related health policies.
