UAlbany Hosts Conference on Demographics and the Macroeconomy, April 11–12

The University at Albany, SUNY, in collaboration with the Laboratory for Aggregate Economics and Finance (LAEF) at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, will host a major academic conference on Demographics and the Macroeconomy on April 11–12, 2025, at the Alumni House on UAlbany’s Uptown Campus.
This two-day event will bring together top scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore critical issues surrounding group-level differences in economic outcomes. Organized by a team of economists—including Benjamin Griffy (UAlbany), John Bailey Jones (Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond), Karen Kopecky (Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland), Nick Pretnar (UCSB-LAEF), and Eric Young (University of Virginia)—the conference will feature in-depth discussions on how demographic trends shape macroeconomic dynamics.
