Sarah Murphy
Sarah joined the Graduate School in September 2024. As the Associate Director of Academic Affairs, Sarah is responsible for the graduate degree conferral process, dissertation and thesis preparation and review, and supervises graduate student academic records maintenance including the processing of transfer credit/advanced standing, admission to candidacy, leave of absence, and statute of limitation extensions.
Prior to joining the Graduate School, Sarah worked in the Minerva Center at the University beginning in February 2020, helping students gain access to experiential learning opportunities. Sarah also has over 10 years of experience in higher education in a plethora of student support roles. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/Communications from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, and a Master of Science in Education in College Student Services Administration from the College of Saint Rose.
In addition to her work in the Graduate School, Sarah is a doctoral student herself pursuing a PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education at UAlbany, and also serves as an adjunct instructor at the undergraduate level.
