About

Professional Interests
Sara’s professional interests fall under the umbrella of Contextual Behavioral Science, particularly Relational Frame Theory and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)’s model of psychological flexibility. Sara has secondary interests in mental health stigma and developing interventions to combat it.

Approach to Therapy
Sara approaches therapy from a cognitive behavioral lens, with a key focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Sara’s focus is to identify what is most important to clients and what type of life they’d like to lead. Through a collaborative and compassionate approach, Sara helps clients identify patterns that have kept them stuck or contributed to suffering.

Approach to Wellness
Sara believes that balance is key, so when she’s not on campus, you can find her baking and cooking elaborate recipes, hiking in the Adirondacks, or lounging around the house with her cat, Fawkes.
