UAlbany's 2025 summer camps for students ages 13-18 include a Spanish immersion in language and culture camp (7/14/25-7/18/25), a great opportunity for students to build language skills and explore a variety of Hispanic cultures.

French Professor Curates Paris Museum Exhibit
Caroline Herbelin, French professor in the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures, has curated an exhibit in the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac in Paris, France, exploring 19th and early 20th Century art that speaks to impacts of colonialization on both cultures.

Postcolonial Lab Project Gives UAlbany Students Taste of Local Haitian Cuisine
UAlbany French and Spanish students got a taste of local Haitian cuisine as part of the Postcolonial Lab Project, an initiative of UAlbany’s Center for the Humanities, Arts and Technosciences that aims to revive interest in the humanities with hands-on programming. The Feb. 13 trip gave students a chance to explore identity, culture and colonization through the lens of food.
