‘University at Albany Week’ Airs on WAMC’s The Academic Minute

ALBANY, N.Y. (Oct. 22, 2024) — Albany’s WAMC Northeast Public Radio aired five segments from UAlbany faculty last week during “University at Albany Week” on The Academic Minute.
The Academic Minute features a two-and-a-half-minute segment each day, Monday through Friday, from researchers at different colleges and universities around the world, keeping listeners abreast of what's new and exciting in higher education research.
University at Albany Week:
- Monday, Oct. 14: Lithium and Clean Energy, featuring Matthew Szydagis, Department of Physics, College of Arts and Sciences
- Tuesday, Oct. 15: The Science of Co-Imagination and Relationships, featuring Zoë Fowler, Department of Psychology, College of Arts and Sciences
- Wednesday, Oct. 16: Problematic Media Use and Children, featuring Sarah Domoff, Department of Psychology, College of Arts and Sciences
- Thursday, Oct. 17: A.I. Powered Emergency Response and Recovery, featuring Abdullah Canbaz, Department of Information Sciences and Technology Department, College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity
- Friday, Oct. 18: Rise in Legionnaires’ Disease, featuring Ursula Lauper, Department of Environmental Health Sciences, College of Integrated Health Sciences.
The Academic Minute airs on 70 NPR-affiliated stations in the United States and Canada and is also shared online. It is hosted by Lynn Pasquerella, president of the Association of American Colleges and Universities, and produced locally by WAMC’s David Hopper.
