Surviving Hip-Hop: A Dialogue with Drew Dixon - November 20, 2024 at 3 p.m.
Drew Dixon, music executive/producer, artist, activist, is an important advocate for the game-changing New York State Adult Survivors Act, which expired in 2023.
Dixon was also the subject for the HBO MAX documentary film On the Record (2020). In a dialogue, moderated by WGSS Professor Janell Hobson, Dixon will speak on current issues connecting the music industry with the #MeToo movement, and feminism with racial justice, as well as women's leadership behind the scenes and in the public sphere.
