Nomination Process
Nominations for Laureates are solicited from the community and area academic institutions. They are evaluated by an Advisory Committee comprised of members of The University at Albany Foundation Board, former laureates, and staff of the University at Albany. The committee also has the right to nominate awardees. The Advisory Committee reviews and ranks each nomination and submits their recommendation/s to the Executive Committee of The Foundation, who approve the final selection of the Laureates in consultation with the University at Albany President.
All Nominations received before January 31 will be considered for the Fall event of the same calendar year. Any nominations received after January 31 will be put into consideration for the Fall event of the next calendar year. Nominations remain viable for three years, with nominations from one year automatically being considered for the following year although updated information is welcome.
