About

Areas of Interest: Our lab focuses on identifying neural pathways that form circuits responsible for adaptive and maladaptive fear related behaviors. To do this, we combine neuroanatomical, developmental, molecular biological and behavior approaches to define the ontogeny and function of neural pathways that control the learning, remembering and expression of fear. Specific areas of inquiry include:

  • Neuroanatomical and Functional Interactions between the Amygdala, Hippocampus and Prefrontal Cortices.
  • Ontogeny of Learning and Memory Systems
  • Developmental Stress-related Alterations in Brain, Behavior and Neuroendocrine Function

Research Interest: Neural Systems of Emotion and Memory Lab
