A world-wide leader in climate research, the University at Albany is the only university in the country to have been awarded two National Science Foundation PIRE grants in support of atmospheric science.
In South America and Southeast Asia, our faculty and students are collaborating directly with international and multi-institutional teams of experts and fellow researchers to better understand the Earth’s climate – how it has evolved over time and how we as a civilization can adapt to current weather extremes.
