CARD Albany offers educational presentations on a variety of topics aimed at providing evidence-based information for parents and/or professionals.
Schools, agencies, and parent groups can request CARD Albany to present on specific topics related to autism. Please refer to the list below for the specific topics currently available for group trainings.
Trainings are offered at no cost to school districts, community agencies, and parent groups in the following New York counties: Albany, Columbia, Fulton, Greene, Hamilton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Schoharie, Warren, and Washington. Requests must be received at least thirty (30) days prior to the requested seminar date.
Each topic lasts between 75 minutes to two hours depending on topic and follows a lecture format.
Trainings conducted for school and community agency personnel are provided during the workday. The trainings are open to personnel who work with or anticipate working with individuals with an autism spectrum disorder. The minimum amount of attendees for school trainings is 15-20. Trainings conducted for parent groups are provided during the workday or weekday evenings. The trainings are open to parents and family members of children with autism spectrum disorders. The minimum amount of attendees is five parents.

These trainings are offered at no cost to participants through a grant from the New York State Education Department.
