Our Role at UAlbany
As part of the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM), the Web Services team manages content strategy for the University at Albany website system. The current focus of our work is to support enrollment and retention at the University.
We employ a four-stage process to plan, strategize, build and deploy websites to support the University’s evolving needs, while ensuring best practices to uphold the University brand, as well as OCM standards for design, web writing, accuracy, consistency, usability, accessibility and search engine optimization (SEO).
Web Services oversees the content management systems used to create, edit and publish webpages. We also provide technical and training support for site owners and editors across campus.
It's our goal to create an experience on the web that parallels the experience our students, faculty, staff and community have come to expect on our campus: one that is inspired, accessible and engaging.
