About

Frank Wiley joined the College of Emergency Preparedness, Homeland Security and Cybersecurity (CEHC) at the University at Albany in 2020 as professor of practice.

Prior to joining CEHC, he was Chief of Police for the University Police Department (UPD) for 24 years.

In his faculty position, he teaches about race, security, leadership and ethics, and social justice. He has significant experience in the classroom, having taught courses such as The Criminal Justice System and Black America and The History of the Civil Rights Movement UAlbany.

He also serves as co-chair of CEHC's JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) committee. He is committed to expanding CEHC’s mission of ensuring that the learning, living, and working environments demonstrate respect for all, and that they are free from inequality and discrimination. 

Mr. Wiley holds a bachelor of arts degree in Human and Social Resources with a concentration in Criminal Justice from Sojourner Douglass College in Baltimore, Maryland.
