The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering is located in the CNSE Downtown Building in the former Albany (Schuyler) High School, an innovative academic and research facility that embraces rich architectural history right in the heart of Albany. Equipped with modern interactive classrooms and state-of-the-art teaching laboratories and equipment, the CNSE Building is a shining example of how the University is incorporating innovative technologies into its construction projects while strengthening its academic offerings for students.

UAlbany, IBM Announce New Artificial Intelligence Research Projects
The projects are the first five funded through the Center for Emerging Artificial Intelligence Systems (CEAIS), a $20 million UAlbany-IBM research collaboration announced last year by Gov. Kathy Hochul that included the installation of state-of-the-art prototype IBM AI hardware at UAlbany.

Students Gain Insight into Global Tech at Eindhoven Semicon Summer School
UAlbany College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering (CNSE) students Kevin Reyes, William Grice and Jadyn Lee joined with sixty students from around the world to learn directly from leading specialists about the evolution of the semiconductor and photonics industries at the Eindhoven Semicon Summer School in August in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

CNSE is welcoming students from throughout the Capital Region on Saturday, November 23, to STEM and Nanotechnology Family Day, providing a glimpse of cutting edge science and technology that is being developed right here in upstate New York. The event marks the culmination of NANOvember, the month-long celebration of how nanotechnology is making a difference in our lives now and in the future.
