The Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program at the University at Albany is one of the few programs in the country that provides a solid foundation in both electrical engineering and computer engineering – while also allowing you to customize your degree to meet your interests and career goals.

These include climate change; the contamination of air, water and soil by countless pollutants; and aging infrastructure for treating water and wastewater. Financial aid helps students pay for college — which is why we encourage every student to apply for financial aid, even if they don’t think they will qualify for much assistance. Nearly 80% of our undergraduate students apply and about 60% receive money they don’t need to pay back. New York State residents and students meeting the NYS Dream Act eligibility should also complete all necessary New York State Grants and Scholarships applications.

Linguistics is the science of language. It examines all aspects of language use and structure in the world's many languages. The University at Albany's Living-Learning Communities (L-LCs) provide you with an opportunity to live and take classes with other incoming freshmen who share your personal interests, passions or intended academic major. The University at Albany started a marching band in the fall 2013 semester. The band is open to all UAlbany students, even if you have never played an instrument before. The Marching Great Danes perform at all football home games. We are hoping to grow the Marching Great Danes into the true spirit of Albany and we need you!

The Department of Air and Space Studies at RPI offers an elective program to eligible male and female students who are U.S. citizens wishing to pursue a commission as future Air Force officers. The program has two phases, a General Military Course and a Professional Officer Course. The General Military Course is taken during the first two years. After the General Military Course, students compete for entry into the two-year Professional Officer Course.

Mohawk Army ROTC trains and develops future leaders of the United States Army.
