About
I grew up in the Twin Cities (Minneapolis and St. Paul), Minnesota and got both my undergraduate and graduate degrees there. I studied abroad at Nagasaki University of Foreign Studies in Japan as a student, then began my career in education working as an English language lecturer at the same university, living there for four more years. I moved to NYC in 2016, thinking I was going to work in publishing. However, I missed working with students and moved to Albany to be a lecturer again at UAlbany. I changed to advising because I wanted to assist students in more ways than teaching. Some of my hobbies are reading, writing fiction, and learning new languages.
