This webinar will help participants to understand a structural competency approach to Latino/a health disparities by explaining the emergence of Latin communities in the US via specific economic and social forces. Using two case studies, one on asthma in Hunts Point, New York and another focused on the UndocuQueer movement, the webinar will operationalize the expansion of cultural competency through building structural health literacy capacities for participants.

Public health professionals, environmental professionals, physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, local health department staff and other medical and public health professionals.
